FAMILY FUN AT THE GEORGIA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL

Prepare Thyself for Merriment!

April 8, 2024

At the Georgia Renaissance Festival, you’ll find A Whole Lotta Fun…And a Little Bit of History! The Festival runs from April 13 through June 12 Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day Monday. Each weekend features something uniquely special to enhance the enjoyment of all who enter the gates of this 32-acre English Village stepping back in time to the 16th Century.

The Festival welcomes over 200,000 people each year. Once inside the gates, patrons can feast like Royalty on giant smoked turkey legs, frothy ales and other fine fares from the pubs and eateries sprinkled around the Village. Entertainment for all ages is abundant with over 150 shows each day performed on 10 stages. Everything from circus-style acrobatics, comedy and improv, music, dance, and the main event, The Joust – It’s a full day of endless entertainment for all ages.

The Village is home to over 150 arts and crafts merchants, demonstrating artisans providing one-of-a-kind treasures from Renaissance clothing, hand-blown glass art, jewelry, pottery, paintings, weaving, leather-crafting, stained glass artistry and more. This Renaissance art fair is a shop ‘til you drop collectors dream.

TIPS FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS
  • Arrive Early: Miss the traffic and get to the Front Gate by 10am to see the arrival of the Royal Court!
  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: The Village is 32 acres of non-stop fun, so wear some shoes that will be up to the challenge. Dress comfortably and for the weather also - it can be warm in the spring!
  • Bring Cash: The majority of our vendors and activities only accept cash. We have ATMs on site, but purchasing with your credit or debit card can be troublesome due to our poor cell reception and internet. It's the 16th century after all!
  • Print or Screenshot Your Tickets: If you order tickets online, print or screenshot your ticket email as cell service at the Festival is very poor.
  • Eat Early: The first Joust of the day ends at noon and lines for food can start to get long right at midday. Consider grabbing something early or wait until a little later in the afternoon for quicker service!
