The Invisable Mother

It all began to make sense, the blank stares, the lack of response, the way one of the kids will walk into the room while I'm on the phone and ask to be taken to the store. Inside I'm thinking, 'Can't you see I'm on the phone?' Obviously not; no one can see if I'm on the phone, or cooking, or sweeping the floor, or even standing on my head in the corner, because no one can see me at all. I'm invisible. The ...

Why did God make mothers?

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?

2.  Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3.  God made my mom just the same like he made me.  He just used bigger parts ...

My Mother's Day Wish

I was recently in a room full of women when the initial introductions and small chat began.  Inevitably I was asked by someone, "What do you do?"

The truth is that no matter how I answered that ...

People love these cards so much that St. Jude's now sells them and so they are always looking for used cards to be donated. This program is operated by Kids’ Corp., a program for the children at St. Jude’s Ranch to learn entrepreneurship skills.

Everyone loves this program because customers receive “green” holiday cards ...

What do Moms REALLY Want for Mother's Day?

In 1914 the United States Congress designated the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day, and required that the President proclaim the holiday every year shortly before its arrival. While a Presidential Proclamation is nice, we know what moms REALLY want for Mother's Day this year. How do we know? Simple ... we asked! More than 50 moms responded to our question and the answers were sweet, funny, and surprisingly similar. Seriously, you would be stunned if you knew exactly how many moms requested one night in a hotel ...
